Fairhope Witches Ride For Charity

Fairhope, Alabama

 THROUGH DOWNTOWN

About a hundred of Fairhope's finest witches rode through the streets of downtown yesterday to raise money for FurreverHomes, an Alabama-based animal rescue charity:

"Furrever Homes is a foster based rescue that is made up of 100% volunteers, no compensated employees of any kind. They rescue stray, abused and abandoned animals (mostly dogs and cats) and provide whatever veterinary care they need to help the animals regain their health and then work to find loving family homes.
FurrEver Homes pulls animals from high-kill shelters all over Baldwin County, truly a “voice for the voiceless” in our area.

Huge thank you to Amanda Richardson Bacon and Jenny Beam Klein for hosting this great event that benefited Furrever Homes Animal Rescue! The first Fairhope Witches Ride was a HUGE success and we look forward to next year!  AND of course Kristy Grimes Meyer Elizabeth Stowe Shannon Stallworth Hesse and Diane Gilliam for representing our rescue. Next year will be an even bigger success and I'm looking forward to it!"

The event began and ended at The Venue on S. Section Street; awards were given afterwards for best costume and decorated bike.

Numerous Witches Rides are held around the country during the Halloween season to raise money for various charities, including for MDA.
