BLUEPRINT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW (CLICK)
The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce (click) is seeking another $175,000 from the Fairhope City Council for its new five year growth plan ($35,000/yr.).
When asked by a Times reporter, one council member said he did not feel intimidated by the Chamber--given it sponsors political campaign forums during election cycles--and selects questions to be asked.
Such funding usually comes from the city's community development fund.
Councilman Mike Ford and Rick Kingrea are listed as Chamber members.
