Fairhope Police Soon To Wear Cameras

RECOMMENDED BY INSURANCE CARRIER                              

City Administrator Greg Mims said police officers will soon be wearing small video cameras on their uniforms. Mims said the city's insurance carrier encouraged the use of the cameras.

Chief Press demonstrated the device for the City Council.

Yeah, maybe it will protect the citizens that get stopped, have car searched, money pocketed that was "never there."

Yes thats right. It will make sure the officers follw rules too. there are rouge cops out there you know. a good idea all around.
