COLONEL RICK BRADLEY
At the last council meeting, Chief Press presented Rick Bradley as Police Department Chaplain.
Chief Press said Bradley will assist both police officers and victims of crime.
Bradley, a Marine Corp veteran, said, "it will be my pleasure and honor to serve ... in whatever capacity God opens up ..."
Press said later police officers often need someone to talk to (confidentially) in times of stress: "Officers often deal with things ... like death ... the trauma stays with you ... especially deaths of children."
Dr. Bradley said he is a 20 year military veteran who has lived here for 4 years. His wife is the Vice President of Fairhope's BES engineering.
Bradley said he was "happy to serve" and when it came to confidentiality that's his "code of honor."
Bradley: "It has to be that way."
