CELL PHONE SERVICE TO BE RESTORED
The painting of the water tank tower on Middle St. has been completed ahead of schedule. Regular cell phone service will be begin to be restored on March 18th, as the various carriers' antennas are replaced on its top. Temporary antennas had been installed at Stimpson Field.
The city's 2 other water tanks also need repainting.
ROCK CREEK WATER PRESSURE
The new water line and booster station to the Rock Creek neighborhood is set to begin construction in early May -- and completed by August. The 16 and 12" lines are to be installed along HWY 13 and 104 to relieve chronic low water pressure in that neighborhood.
SEWER PLANT UPGRADES
Bids for improvements to the waste water treatment plant will be solicited in late spring/early summer -- and construction should be completed by late 2014.
The upgrades will increase capacity and satisfy new waste water treatment limits to be issued soon by ADEM -- and should meet the city's requirements for the next 15-20 years.
