'ACADEMY AT FAIRHOPE'
The aviation training school at the airport is essentially completed and classroom equipment is being moved in today.

Airport Authority member Charlie Bassett, who oversaw the project, said "it looks like we'll make it" in time for the Winter school term beginning January 6th.

The temporary trailers being used as classrooms nearby are being removed and enrollment has been good, as far as Bassett knew.
RUNWAY DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS BEGIN
Phase one of a drainage improvement project east of the runways is also beginning, funded mostly by state and federal grants.
