BIG TURNOUT SUNDAY
Citizens turned out in droves last Sunday to christen the 17 Turtles canoe and kayak rental service on Fly Creek; the good weather, free food, beer and music may have had something to do with it as well.
The endangered red-bellied turtle is Alabama's official state reptile.
A canoe journey is being planned for April 24th -- and sunset paddles monthly: http://17turtlesoutfitters.org/
