Is this a general election or a special election only for the proposed school tax? I am a bit confused by this because typically (lucky) people a few blocks from me don't have to pay the increased Fairhope taxes. I live in a small home in the Fruit & Nut and pay about twice what friends on the bay pay for large homes/lots. As most Baldwin County tax events, the City Council simply tries to promote higher taxes. I hope that, in the next election, we an elect at least one Council member that is not scared of Jack.
