NEW PIER STREET MARKET PLACE DEVELOPMENT
Snow cones are currently being sold at the old Bay Break Grocery on South Mobile Street at Pier Avenue; but the building will eventually be torn down and replaced with a 3-story multi-use structure (approved during the March Planning Commission meeting).
Initially described as only two stories, the project changed to three when the final site plan was approved. The existing sign is to be saved though, if possible.
Wise Properties LLC. is the listed owner; it is zoned B3b.
Partially constructed using Clay City tile, many locals remember the place a Mont (or Monk?) Green's.
The city council still needs to approve this site plan.

There a small patch of grass left to the south of the Legion. I'm sure some developer can figure out how to squeeze a 16,000 sqft multi-family into that one too.
