A church's building at 371 Young Street that was once scheduled to be condemned by the city has been demolished by building owners instead, with help from donations from other local churches and non-profit philanthropic organizations.
Childress Siteworks, Inc. completed the cleanup last week, according to permit records: cost $18K.
The church is planning to re-locate, according to statements by members during recent council meetings.
