The name of the City park on Young St. will not be changing (a resident of the neighborhood recently proposed it be renamed after a relative who participated in its founding). The playground equipment and grounds are in relatively good shape as well, despite complaints to the contrary, according to the Public Works Director.
According to Gov. sources, there is a good chance the Boys and Girls Club currently located there could be moving to the nearby Alternative School site (Twin Beech Rd.), since that school is to be closed.
