This small alligator was found lurking in the N. Duck (detention) Pond at the Fairhope Beach about 1:30PM this afternoon. This is the same pond where 2 much larger gators were found last year.
The alligator hunting season--instituted four years ago in response to a gator "population explosion"-- will begin shortly, according to published reports.
