Cheaper Flowers in Our Future

Included in the newest round of budget cuts for the rest of the year (approved by the City Council last Monday night)-- is $25,000 from "landscaping." The Mayor and Horticulturalist propose using "less expensive" plants to accomplish the savings. The annual cost of all landscaping/flowers , city-wide, had been previously estimated to be about $250,000.
