According to County Commissioner David Bishop, this property on the south side of Fairhope Ave., roughly between Compass Bank and the Big Lots store (across from Bruno's supermarket), is being considered for a BRATS (Baldwin Rural Area Transportation System) bus "transportation hub"-- using money now available from the Federal economic "stimulus" program ($950,000 sponsored by Senator Shelby).
Currently the buses are stationed at the Satellite Courthouse and use the nearby Hardee's parking lot for pick up/drop off for their Mobile Routes.
