The Fairhope Single Tax Corporation is currently making improvements to its Nature Park near the corner of Twin Beech Rd. and CR13. After completed, the park will be turned over to the City for maintenance. Such projects are funded by the yearly land rent the Corporation charges its lessees (above and beyond the usual property taxes paid to civil governments).
Much of the City's parkland--especially near the bay-- was obtained in this manner.
