The owners of the 18 unit Point Clear Landing Condominiums (just north of the Grand Hotel, on Scenic 98) are seeking a rezoning from R-1 (Single Family District) to R-6 (Multiple Family district) --to facilitate the addition of 6 additional units. A "small scale PRD"--Planned Residential Development--is simultaneously being sought by the applicant.
The development is currently "non conforming": it was built before zoning was enacted in Planning district 26.
This neighborhood is outside the Fairhope city limits so the case will be heard by the Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission at its July meeting (July 9th, 6PM, Central Annex, Robertsdale).
