Electric Superintendent Scott Sligh has reported an "autopsy" revealed the transformer that burned last Spring (Morphy Ave. Substation on Mar 18th)--causing a power outage downtown-- was not badly damaged and could be repaired (used as a spare). The cost of repair will be $25,000 and will be completed in about a month, according to Sligh.
The City Council approved the repairs unanimously.
