Fly Creek Environmental Study Scheduled

The Environmental Advisory Board reported grants have been awarded by the Geological Survey of Al. and National Estuary Program in the amount of $40,300 to conduct a "sedimentation study" of Fly Creek. Fly Creek is the watershed most affected by the controversial Fairhope Village (Publix)-- and the County Road 13 extension, slated for completion this Winter. The study is scheduled to begin this October.
