The City Council has approved spending $8,000 from the capital improvement fund to construct 900 feet of sidewalk on the north side of Manley Rd.-- from the new Middle School eastward to Founders Dr. With City crews providing the labor, the sidewalk should be completed before the new school year begins-- according to City Administrator Greg Mims.
Council President Quinn: "This should have been done when the school was built."
Federal/State grants are to be sought to extend it all the way to HWY 98.
