Planning and Zoning Approves Klump PUD

At the Aug 3rd meeting, after a lengthy discussion involving "connectivity", the Planning Commission conditionally approved the "181 Place" PUD (across from Wal Mart-- requested by Klump Family Enterprises) by a 6-1 vote. The Commission also: 1) Denied the Dogwood Subdivision PUD (5-1 vote) 2) Conditionally Approved the site plan for a new Fire Station on Parker Rd. 3) Conditionally Approved re-subdividing the Fairhope Village Phase 1 Plat 4) Granted a 1 year extension for the Cottages at Point Clear 5) Failed to approve an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) Ordinance (4-4 tie vote) Details to follow

All of these new stores on the outskirts of town are ruining the old downtown. Turning it into just clubs and pubs.
