Proposal to Record Meetings Fails

A motion at the last Council Meeting by Councilman Rick Kingrea to make an audio (digital) recording of all future meetings--to be kept for one year (then erased)--died due to a lack of a second. According to City Clerk Lisa Hanks, the State advised such recordings become "public record" whenever the minutes are approved--open to public inspection. Council President Quinn: "I could pass the gavel to second it myself."
