City Supports Mobile's Ferry Station Bid

The City is supporting Mobile in its efforts to gain federal funding for a passenger ferry terminal--to be located near their downtown Civic Center. Potential terminal sites in Baldwin county include Daphne, Fairhope, Pt. Clear (Grand Hotel ) and Gulf Shores. A connection to Pensacola is also anticipated.

every major bay area in the united staes has a ferry. its going to happen sooner or later as the area grows. like it or not.

this could be the only way to save the old downtown business district from the wal marts and other super stores being brought in on the outskirts of town
