New Bus Routes Coming to Town?

Three new BRATS bus routes are being proposed for the Fairhope area--in a Transit Study commissioned by the County Commission: a Pt. Clear Route; a downtown Fairhope Route; and a Daphne/Spanish Fort Route. All would begin at a proposed new "Transit Hub Station" on Fairhope Ave. (behind the Big Lots store). Funding is to be mostly provided by the Federal ARRA (Stimulus).

how much will it cost to ride to the eastern shore shopping center and back and how often does the bus run? I live in Fairhope.

Why was that property selected (one of the most heavily congested traffic areas in town) and why are the citizens of Fairhope paying $2000 per month with an increase as much as 15% per year?
