New Bank May Threaten More "Publix" Trees

An Iberia Bank planned for the corner of Parker Rd. and U.S. 98 (lower left of photo above) could threaten some trees the Tree Committee has expressed concerns about in recent letters to the Mayor. The Committee contends the trees/vegetation along "Corridor 98" are protected by a prior agreement with the landowner/developers. The plans are to be reviewed/approved by the Planning Commission at this Monday night's meeting (Nov. 2).
