The county is applying to the state (ALDOT) for 2 sidewalk construction grants under the federal Safe Walk to Schools program:
1. Young Street (from Fairland Ave. to CR-44)
2. CR-44/Twin Beech Rd. (from Boothe Rd. to CR-13)
Some engineering and other misc. expenses are not included in the grant (must be borne locally).
