School Feasibility Study Chair Debbie Quinn has clarified earlier remarks she made concerning the study's completion delay: " . . . it was the administration as a whole. Not one specific individual-- (but) also includes School Board administration. I was simply making a statement that for the information needed, it took three and a half weeks, which I thought was a long time . . . made the timing of this study further out than the original timeline."
Quinn added that Dr. Harvey was in town last week and visited "all schools inside and outside of the city limits," and met with School Board Staff.
Quinn: "He also met with someone on our 'ragged' city limits to better understand that issue. He has some more discussions to go with the state and county (funding issues) . . . hopes to have the study done in 3-4 weeks."
The study was originally predicted to be completed by April.
[***Publishers Update (April 24): Quinn added later that Harvey is not permitted legally (or by contract) to inspect school grounds, but did a "drive by" inspection of each site.]
