Publix Tree Buffer Damage to be "Remediated"?

According to a source at City Hall close to the situation, ALDOT may require the trees/plants that were illegally removed (near the corner of US 98 and Parker Rd.) be replaced (remediated), though probably not in their same locations.
The city's Horticulturist reportedly was told recently a (nonexistent) landscaping business did the damage.
An Iberia Bank branch is currently under construction there.
{Note: Although within the City Limits, the City's own tree ordinances in the area have been suspended by the Mayor until revisions can be made. The right of way there is state property.}

umm... am I missing something or are those powerlines? sorry bub, Powerlines trump pine trees. Now if a 50" or greater live oak was damaged... I'd have more sympathy for your argument. Crying wolf everytime a pup shows up will get you little to no response when the big bad wolf shows up.
