Councilman Gets Progress Reports on Gazebo, Flower Beds, Sidewalk Construction, Street lights, Meter Reading

At the last Council meeting, Councilmember Kingrea asked for an update from the city attorney on the Nichols Street gazebo lawsuit: a hearing is scheduled for Aug. 10.

Also, public works is experimenting with various techniques painting flower beds on Magnolia and Fairhope Ave.; sidewalks are being considered for Volanta, Gayfer and Bishop Ave.; street lights are causing concerns in some subdivisions; and meter reading is being computerized.
