anon, I think they just look at the city listed on your ID.

just because your mailing address is Fairhope does NOT mean you are a resident--a common misconception.
There is a map at the public works dept. you can look at or i suspect you could call someone in planning and zoning to find out as well. Also, if you own property the county tax office should have the info.
More city limit signs should be erected to help this astonishing confusion.
