Long Awaited Fairhope Sidewalk Under Construction

Construction of a sidewalk along Boothe Rd. in SE Fairhope (outside city limits) is underway. Funding is largely from a grant provided by the Federal "walk to school" program.

Another such project along S. Greeno Rd., delayed by the City Council this year because of budget issues (lack of matching funds), is now scheduled for next year.

and now it will be up to the Fairhope Police Dept to keep the speeding down to the minimum. also I hope lightning will be present

Yet Volanta Ave...a busy road IN city limits, still awaits a sidewalk...while kids dangerously walk in the street to reach the ball fields, skate park, rec center, etc.
