Report Says City's Health Care Premium Costs Rose 200% Since 2000

According to a document prepared by the City Treasurer's Office, the yearly cost of the city's employee health care premiums increased by almost $2 million in the last decade.

In 2009, the premiums cost over $3 million. (The total each year can vary  up or down, depending on claims filed)

Waiting for the comments that this is Obama's fault. Seems like a kind of report you release the week before election day to get the republicans fired up.

Nevermind the growth of Fairhope from 2000 to 2009. Or the aging employees. We don't need to be making any sort of sense here, do we?

They are spending too much on non necessitiies like recreation and airport expansion. Not enough leftto pay the workers.
