Recording Device Malfunctions at Contentious Council Meeting

According to usually reliable sources at City Hall, no audio recording was made of last Monday's Council meeting where numerous conflicting comments concerning employee benefits/outsourcing of services were made by the Mayor, City Administrator, Public Works Director, Councilmembers and a city employee. The recording device reportedly malfunctioned early in the meeting.

The Council passed a resolution last year requiring recording of the meetings to alleviate confusion over what was said, as had occurred in earlier instances like the controversial Fly Creek Pud in 2006.
