Councilman Rick Kingrea opened a town meeting tonight to discus the plusses and minuses of Fairhope forming its own school system. The meeting was sponsored by the Good 2 Great organization.
Kingrea: " ... regardless of where we stand (for or against city system) . . . we're all united in one thing . . . we want what's best for our children . . . and our community. This is an education process for all of us."
The panel consisted of : Dr. Suzanne Freeman, City of Trussville School Superintendent; Dr. Craig Pouncey, State Board of Education; Dr. Ira Harvey; Dr. Bill Silver, Saraland School Board President; Dr. Howard Rubinstein, Saraland City Council President.
