The city's controversial skateboard park took a tiny step forward toward completion recently when the city council approved $5,000 for engineering work. Because of funding problems and errors made in the grant implementation process in 2008, the park was never completed. According to General Superintendent Gilespie, this particular grant was unique: more intricate than the usual ones.
