AT EMPLOYEE TERMINATION APPEAL HEARING
At a special council meeting called last Friday to hear Rhonda Bishop's appeal of her Feb 9th termination as Human Resources Director, Greg Mims said it was his job to present the reasons for it, but the ultimate decision had been the Mayor's.
COUNCIL LEAVES THE DOOR OPEN FOR ANOTHER CITY JOB
After hearing Bishop's reply, and an executive session to debate the matter, the council voted not to overturn the termination; but, after a motion by Councilman Kingrea, it was agreed Bishop should be allowed to apply for another job with the city if she so desires.
The entire hearing lasted over 2 hours.
