City's Workforce Remained Stable in 2010

 NUMER OF CITY EMPLOYEES REMAINED AT 281

According to the recent audit, for the first time in over 10 years, the city's full-time workforce did not grow in 2010. The police department lost 3 personnel and Adult Recreation added 3.

What the heck were they doing from 2008 to 2009 that required them to hire so many during the beginning of the recession???? While the private sector was "streamlining" aka firing and freezing salaries, Fairhope apparently was on a spending spree.
