Council Decides Not to Give Stormwater Grant Money to Foley

2003 EPA WATERSHED STUDY GRANT

The Fairhope city council decided not to give its portion ($202,000) of a federal storm water runoff study grant to Foley,  as was requested by that city.

City Planner Johnathan Smith told a council work session the money could be put to good use here for infrastructure inventories and other runoff issues, possibly including Fly Creek.  The grant requires about $155,000 in matching funds from the city.
