Fairhope Electric Reimbursed for Tornado Relief Effort

"MUTUAL AID" AGREEMENTS

City Administrator Greg Mims said recently he had received a $75,662 check from the City of Guntersville Al. for help provided restoring electric service last spring after tornados struck the region.

Mims: "$24,800 for salaries  . . . $38,800 for equipment."

Electric Superintendent Scott Sligh told the Times earlier that the tornado was so strong -- it had ripped wiring out of the ground.

Guntersville provides a similar service to Fairhope in the aftermath of hurricanes.
