Fairhope Police Officer of the Month Named

FOR JULY 2011

Detective Stephanie Hollinghead was named officer of the month by Chief Press at the monthly Police Advisory Committee meeting at the Nix Center.

Press said Hollinghead handles all the natural deaths, suicides and homicides as well as domestic violence within the city. She also handles all polygraph testing and internet sex crime investigations for the department Press said.

In July besides her normal tasks, Hollinghead helped solve a county-wide check cashing scam and performed extra hours work on a possible domestic violence incident as well.

CITIZEN THANKS POLICE

A Rock Creek resident thanked Hollinghead and all city police officers for their work: "We all appreciate what you do . . . you don't get enough credit . . . or only get grief from people . . . most people really appreciate it."
