Free Wireless Internet Access Coming to Downtown Fairhope

ANTENNAS ALREADY INSTALLED

Information Technology Manager Jason Colee told the city council that Harbor Communications will be providing up to 30 minutes of wireless internet access (wifi)  at no charge to the public.

Colee: " ... allow anybody downtown 30 minutes a day per user  ... enough to check your e mail, facebook ... twitter." He said he hoped to provide the service at the pier as well.

Colee said if more time is needed, there will be a way to purchase it on the provider's website (Harbor Communications).

Colee said a secure line is being provided for city employees, that should improve communications/services.

I didn't know I could pick up the library's wifi all over town. That's a pretty strong signal

Good luck using Harbor Comm! The service won't work half the time!
