Electronic books, audio books, music and video may now be checked out online from the library's website -- using existing library cards.
The new service is a part of Alabama's Digital Library via CameliaNet -- a consortium of libraries throughout Alabama.
Library director Tamara Dean said earlier this year that patrons were demanding the e-book service (view).
