Fairhope Pier Boat Ramp Removed

Fairhope, Alabama

The often-storm-damaged boat ramp just north of the pier is being taken out -- according to Construction Supervisor Ken Eslava.

Eslava said the mayor decided to remove it because the water is so shallow there -- and the location makes it extra susceptible to storm damage. The ramp has been damaged and un-usable for some time.

A small bulkhead will be constructed there instead.

Should have called in Warner Paving Company and signed a contract with Ripper sweeping services. Both compaines need the work and are used to funny colored water.

Who's doing the removal? James or Pittman?
