New Educational Advisory Committee to Meet

Fairhope, Alabama                                    

The newly-formed committee to explore ways the city can help local schools will hold its first meeting next week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. Councilmember Kingrea said he hoped Baldwin School Superintendent Alan Lee and area School Board Representative Bob Callahan will be able to attend.

Kingrea: " ... we are moving ahead ... been in contact with the Baldwin School Board ... ."

Councilmember Stankoski said the meetings will be open to the general public.

When are they going to post the meeting times for those of us who are actually paying attention to what is going on here? Or is that a big secret too?

The meeting has been scheduled for Monday, March 5 at 4:30 in the Delchamps room at City Hall.

Wow...I guess they don't want people who work for a living to attend these meetings. Another attempt to keep folks in the dark. You surely don't get the whole story from the newspaper.

They might as well be meeting in secret. How about 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. to give everyone equal access?
