Fairhope, Alabama
Councilman Kingrea asked citizens to be patient with the new street markings until the project is completed and a public awareness campaign is launched to explain them.
Kingrea: "Change is always hard ... after 3 or 6 months ... if its wrong ... we can change it ... its just paint."
Kingrea called the striping a "progressive move," and noted Fairhope is one of the first cities in the south to implement it. Kingrea: "The data we've seen indicates its a good thing."
Kingrea: "Let's wait and see ... if it turns out not to be a good thing ... we can always change it."
