DUCK POND PROBLEM
At Monday's council meeting, City Administrator Greg Mims asked to Public to cease feeding alligators "just like they feed the ducks." Mims said that once alligator feeding is begun "it associates humans with food."
Mims: " ... asking the Public ... when visiting the beach ... leave those creatures alone ... plus its against (Alabama) law to feed alligators."
Usually, alligators in the duck ponds are caught and re-located to more natural habitats.
