Fairhope, Alabama
The city council has approved plans to allow the mayor to negotiate a fee (Thomson Engineering) to install a new water line along CR13 intended to address chronic low water pressure problems in the Rock Creek Subdivision and other neighborhoods north of town.
Initially it was thought a new water tower tank would be needed there ($3 million), but a recent engineering study concluded that was not necessary, the new line would be sufficient.
The cost for the project was estimated to be about $1.6 million according to the consulting engineer.
