Long-awaited improvements to the city's much-maligned website will be previewed at the next city council work session on July 11; and the site should "go live" the following day, according to the IT Department.
The new design will be more interactive and user friendly and include a mobile application.
In April of 2012, Vision Internet Providers, a California firm specializing in government sites, was awarded a contract for $32,000 to do the work (click).
Their website describes a six step process concentrating on the needs of individual communities rather than a "cookie-cutter" approach (click).
