New City Website Almost Ready

Fairhope, Alabama

Long-awaited improvements to the city's much-maligned website will be previewed at the next city council work session on July 11; and the site should "go live" the following day,  according to the IT Department.

The new design will be more interactive and user friendly and include a mobile application.

In April of 2012, Vision Internet Providers, a California firm specializing in government sites,  was awarded a contract for  $32,000 to do the work (click).

Their website describes a six step process concentrating on the needs of individual communities rather than a "cookie-cutter" approach (click).

It's about time. The old one is the most unfriendly sight to try to navigate. Never can find what you are looking for.
