Fairhope Courier Building For Sale

Fairhope, Alabama

EDITOR RESIGNS

The longtime home office of the Fairhope Courier newspaper at 325 Fairhope Ave. is for sale, reportedly for $700,000. The historic old building once served as the city's U. S. post office.

Also, Editor Mike Odom announced he is resigning to complete his masters degree at the University of South Alabama and pursue other interests. Odom served as a reporter before becoming Editor 3 years ago.

According to informed sources, interviews are already being held for a new Editor.

The newspaper's Robertsdale office is also for sale and there is a possibility all operations may be consolidated at their Foley facility, according to the source.

Gulf Coast Newspapers LLc., a South Carolina corporation (William Mebane agent) owns the property.

Mike always told it like it was. Going to miss him. Best of luck in your new endeavor.

diagree. reporting was agenda driven by his bias toward the views of self serving politicans. in short he is what is known in the industry as a 'hack!'

I thought that Odom often took sides in political elections, as did the Courier editor before him. Many, including myself, canceled subscriptions because of this political involvement. Unless an article is labeled opinion, no slant should be detected by the reader. That was not the case with the Courier. Many of us just quit reading.

Mike did a lot to open up Fairhope government to sunshine and ethics laws: unfortunately there seems to be some backsliding lately.

That's not what she said!!!!!
The owners at this delivery service are prompt, courteous and good to their employees. I always feel completely confident that what I need delivered will reach its destination on time and in one piece.
Went there to arrange for delivery of a package, they told me that I needed to fill out an application, since I needed to get this shipment out ASAP, they really helped me. They did everything properly.
