State "Champion" Tree Removed

BUG INFESTED

The old Eastern Burning Bush tree located on Section St. outside the museum of history had to be removed recently.

Museum Director Donnie Barrett told the Times it was infested with boring beetles -- and was leaning on a power pole.

Champion trees are certified by the Alabama Forestry Commission to be the largest of their species in the state (click twice).

I've got a few pine trees in my neighborhood ate up with something and really leaning more each year. They are on the city right of way, but they (Ms. Fidler) won't do anything about them. Who is going to be responsible when one of them end up falling on my vehicle or house?

Kant, Fidler didn't see the trees being cut down on Highway 98 near the church either....the flower clock will run backwards because no one will notice.
