Mayor Kant called it "fitting that after a day recognizing veterans ... to take a few moments to say a prayer and remember."
Pastor Jerry Henry of the First Baptist Church led the prayer -- after saying he was "proud to be a 3rd generation veteran." (His father in WWII, he in Vietnam, and his son in Iraq)
A candle-balloon was released for each branch of the Armed Forces.
